Resolve warehouse origins

The shipment’s origin helps determine how an order is classified in the OSS report. When Balta Labs cannot resolve that origin, the event remains Unknown and the report flags it for review.

Check the source first

Open Orders → Configuration → Sources and confirm that the relevant account and imports have completed. Then inspect an affected order from the OSS report. Look for its source, fulfillment channel, marketplace, and any available fulfillment-center or warehouse identifier. Do not infer an origin from the destination country.

Add locations

1. Open Orders → Configuration → Setup.
2. Add the home-country location and each warehouse location that matters for the connected account.
3. Choose the country and a clear name. Add the local VAT ID if you use it for that location.
4. Associate the location with the correct source account when the workspace has several accounts.

Locations describe the physical origin used in reporting. A warehouse in another country can need its own matching rule so that orders are assigned to the correct origin.

Preview matching rules

For a warehouse location, open Rules and build a condition from the source fields available in Balta Labs. Preview the rule’s matching orders before activating it. The preview is for inspection: viewing matches does not assign orders or change OSS totals. After saving and applying a rule, return to the report and check whether the unknown events changed as expected.

Keep rules narrow enough to distinguish locations. If a source does not supply a reliable fulfillment-center or warehouse value, document that gap for your reporting review instead of creating a broad rule that assigns unrelated orders.
